"The installation of the Permatron PreVent filter has saved us money, reduced downtime, and to date eliminated any possible environmental outages."Â -- Gary Wilcox, Production Supervisor, Osram-Sylvania
"By using the PreVent filters, we've reduced our seasonal filtration costs by almost 70% and our maintenance and cleaning man-hours are about a third of what they were with the old filtration equipment." -- Angelo Carrieri, Maintenance Superintendent, Water and Sanitation District, Parker, Colorado
Washable electrostatic air filters remove airborne particulate matter that contributes to adverse health effects, while saving you money!   Permanent, washable and environmentally friendly air filters give you the lowest cost over useful life compared to disposable filters.Â
Introduced in 1957, Permatron’s unique filter construction features an exclusive Accumulator Chamber® design. Engineered with a three-stage filtration process, the air filter maintains a high dirt holding capacity without face loading or restricting airflow. Multiple filtration panels are encased within a 1†or 2†outer steel frame, building the multi-stage filter bank. As particulates build-up on the prefilter, airflow causes them to break off and be swept into the Accumulator Chamber, where turbulence and electrostatic forces cause agglomeration into even larger particulates. The afterfilter attracts and holds the particulates that may have escaped the prefilter, or did not respond to an electrostatic charge. The filter design is easy to clean thoroughly, and usually outlasts the system that it’s been installed in. No system modifications or electrical connections are needed. A high dust holding capacity and unique construction allow the air filter to hold the dirt in until cleaned. Underwriters Laboratories classified as to flammability.
And don't forget, that airflow obstructions, debris and dirt buildup will impact HVAC equipment’s ability to work efficiently. Dirty equipment means energy efficiency decrease, heat buildup, higher discharge pressure, increased amp draw and motor strain. Forced to run for longer cycle times, at reduced capacity, operating costs escalate, breakdown occurs and equipment life expectancy decreases.
One of the most simple and effective methods of increasing HVACR system's airflow and efficiency is air filtration. Interior AND exterior air filters play a significant role in the energy consumed to operate HVAC systems. Contaminants need to be removed from the air both BEFORE they enter the system and as air passes through the system. Â
PreVent Equipment Protection Filters are made of cleanable UV protected polypropylene and custom sized/shaped to fit any air intake perimeter. This filter can be framed with a flexible vinyl binding or a rigid galvanized steel frame, depending on the application and necessary installation requirements. PreVent can be easily cleaned with a broom or shop vac versus having to clean the delicate fins and coils with time consuming hand brushing and messy corrosive chemicals that can damage the system components and the environment over time. Significantly reduce HVAC maintenance costs and expenses with air intake filtration.
