Schiff Hardin LLP is looking for a talented, innovative and driven professional to join our team as the Real Estate and Property Manager. The Manager is accountable for real estate and property management matters for all Firm offices, and will work with members of the Firm’s leadership team on matters pertaining to: (1) lease management; (2) space planning design, renovations and build-outs; (3) management of broker, architectural/design, construction, landlord, and property related supplier/advisor relationships; (4) facilities maintenance and management; and (5) capital investments and operating expenses for office real and personal property.

A Bachelor’s degree is required, with a major in engineering, construction management, or commercial interior design a plus. A minimum of 10 years of real estate and facilities management experience including at least 3 years within a law firm and/or other professional service organizations is also required.

The ideal candidate will have sound working knowledge of HVAC, electrical, plumbing and security platforms; experience working with CADD for space design applications; strong business acumen and analytical skills, with the ability to develop and execute comprehensive short-term and long-term business plans; demonstrated success directly managing, mentoring and developing a team of professionals; proven experience leading innovation and continuous improvement in real estate and facilities management; superior communication and engagement skills, including the ability to interact credibly and diplomatically with individuals at all levels of an organization, and recognize when to lead through influence rather than control; and advanced project planning and management skills.
