Mechanical Lead A - Facilities Management Job Post

Description: Montgomery County Community College invites applications for the Mechanical Lead A position. The Mechanical Lead A is responsible for executing and performing preventative maintenance and repair tasks throughout the facility, including specialty items such as HVAC, plumbing, and electrical systems.

The College currently has 2 openings for this position: one is located at the Blue Bell Campus and the other is located at the Pottstown Campus. Both are full-time, first shift positions.


Education/Training/Work Experience:

• High school diploma or GED required

• Technical/trade school diploma or certificate may be required

• Completion of Siemens Master Operator program is required or acquired after hire

• 4+ years of work-related experience required

• Ability to interpret blueprints and technical drawings required

• Knowledge of low-pressure steam boilers required

• CFC Universal Certification required

• Valid PA Driver’s License required

Specialized Knowledge & Skills:

• Must be physically capable of performing all duties on job description

• Must be able to communicate effectively

Additional Information Required:

• Ability to read, write, and follow routine instructions

• Ability to use discretion and judgment required

• Good organizational skills required

• Ability to prioritize workload

• Ability to work within a team-oriented setting

Physical Requirements:

• Must be able to work in all climates and in all types of weather.

• Must be able to perform repetitive movements.

• Must be able to carry 80 lb. loads and support weight in sometimes awkward positions.

• Must be able to climb stairs and walk all areas of the campus.

• Must be able to identify colors.
