The Facilities Crew Supervisor is a first line full supervisory level position responsible for the field supervision of crews. The incumbent plans, schedules, assigns and supervises the work of the maintenance crews engaged in remodeling, minor construction, maintenance and repair of City-owned buildings. The Facilities Crew Supervisor is distinguished from Skilled and Senior Maintenance Worker in that the latter are journey and lead level classifications which also are responsible for performing work similar to that of assigned staff.

In addition to the minimum qualifications, the ideal candidate will possess:
-The ability to guide others in accomplishing work objectives
-The ability to anticipate, be alert to and report indicators of problems
-The creativity to readjust priorities to deal with the unexpected
-The ability to promote, demonstrate and maintain compliance with all safety requirements
-The ability to work effectively with others

Santa Rosa is a charter city incorporated in 1868 and is the county seat of Sonoma County, one of California`s premier wine growing regions and is the gateway to tourist destinations in the redwoods and on the coast. Santa Rosa occupies 41 square miles and serves a population of 170,000. The City has a historic preservation program and has environmental diversity.

The City of Santa Rosa provides a full range of services, including police and fire protection, construction and maintenance of streets and other infrastructure; water, storm water and wastewater utilities; housing services through its Housing Authority; economic development; transit; parking; recreation and parks, including a municipal golf course, and cultural services. The City also plays an important role in supporting the agriculture and tourism industries of California`s north coast.
