Laurie Gilmer is a mechanical engineer and an Associate at Facility Engineering Associates (FEA) and assists facility managers in improving building systems operations, identifying and implementing energy saving strategies, and LEED certification. Her experience spans a wide variety of projects including sustainability/LEED, systems analysis, energy audits, commissioning services, and building systems strategic planning. Laurie has published several articles, and has presented on sustainable solutions, commissioning, tools for saving energy, and facility management. She is currently serving her second term on the Board of the IFMA Redwood Empire Chapter.
Pete van der Have,
Senior Facility Management Consultant, FEA Associates
Pete van der Have has 37 years of experience in facilities management, primarily in higher education. He led a 600-person organization at the University of Utah, progressing literally from the ground floor of the organization to the level of Assistant Vice President for Plant Operations. He retired from the University of Utah on June 30, 2006, and is a Senior Facility Management Consultant for Facility Engineering Associates (FEA).
