U.S. News Names 2018 Law Firm of the Year for Construction Law

11/13/2017

Bradley Arant Boult Cummings LLP is pleased to announce that the firm has been named the nation’s “Law Firm of the Year” for Construction Law in the 2018 edition of U.S. News – Best Lawyers "Best Law Firms." Only one law firm is selected as the “Law Firm of the Year” for each legal practice area.

Bradley has held a National Tier 1 ranking in Construction Law every year since the rankings began and has also earned Tier 1 metropolitan rankings in Construction Law for its offices in Birmingham, Alabama; Houston, Texas; Jackson, Miss.; Nashville, Tenn.; and Washington, D.C. Overall, the firm garnered Tier 1 metropolitan rankings across 62 practice areas and all nine of its offices.

“We are extremely proud that Bradley has been named by U.S. News and Best Lawyers as the top law firm in the nation for Construction Law,” says David W. Owen, a partner and leader of Bradley. “This honor represents outstanding work by our construction attorneys and our talented group of legal support staff, as well as ongoing success for our valued clients in all sectors of the construction industry.”

Bradley chairman of the board and managing partner Beau Grenier added, “Our firm congratulates our attorneys and support staff in construction and dozens of other practice areas who have been highly ranked in the 2018 ‘Best Law Firms’ guide. The rankings are especially meaningful since they reflect acclaim for our work and reputation gathered directly from our clients and peers.”

The firm’s construction and government contracts practice group attorneys advise clients on projects in the United States, Canada and Mexico, as well as in more than 35 countries across Europe, Asia, Africa, Australia, the Middle East, the Caribbean and South America. The team handles every aspect of large-scale construction projects, from initial contract negotiation and bid preparation to project close-out and dispute resolution. Several of Bradley’s construction lawyers hold degrees in engineering, building science or architecture, and have previous experience working in the construction industry.

Produced by The Best Lawyers In America and U.S. News & World Report, the 2018 edition of “Best Law Firms” ranks law firm practice areas nationally and across more than 180 metropolitan areas. “Law Firm of the Year” rankings are indicative of impressive overall performance in a particular practice area as determined through the research process. All “Best Law Firms” rankings are based on client evaluations, peer reviews from leading attorneys in the practice areas, and review of additional information provided by law firms as part of the formal submission process. To be eligible for a national or metropolitan ranking, a law firm practice area must have at least one lawyer ranked as a “Best Lawyer” in that practice.
