Product Release: Juno Lighting Group Indy Performance Series LED Downlights

4/11/2012

DES PLAINES, Ill. — Juno Lighting Group®, a leader in high-quality innovative commercial and residential lighting solutions, announced the addition of the new Indy™ Performance Series LED Downlights for commercial-grade new construction, remodel and retrofit applications. The Indy Performance Series LED Downlights provide users with several new, aesthetic, innovative and affordable features, including a hyperbolic reflector design that reduces glare for a “silent” ceiling effect, a lumen depreciation indicator (LDI) system that notifies maintenance staff when the LED light engine should be replaced, and chip-on-board (COB) light engine technology that provides high quality uniform illumination and lumen packages ranging from 800 to 2700 delivered lumens with efficacies up to 70 lumens per watt.

Taking a “quiet” ceiling effect to a whole new level, the first-of-its-kind round hyperbolic reflector design of the Indy Performance Series LED Silent Ceiling™ optic eliminates aperture brightness and decreases the amount of light-source regression for glare control, thereby reducing the profile of the downlight housing. Due to the geometry of the hyperbolic curve, the cut-off angle can be significantly reduced for dramatically improved glare control and a smoother beam pattern on the floor, providing a very unique and attractive “silent” ceiling appearance in commercial applications.

Additionally, the Indy Performance Series LED Downlights provide users with 50,000 hours of operation while maintaining 70 percent of their initial luminance. While LEDs never burn out, they will become dimmer as they meet their total service life. As a result, the Indy Performance Series LED Downlights offer an innovative LDI system as an option, which features proprietary electronic circuitry that alerts maintenance personnel when it is time to replace the LED light engine to restore the light levels of the space. In addition, the Indy Performance LED modular light engines can be easily changed out for replacement or future upgrades.

Other features of the Indy Performance Series LED Downlights include:

·         Efficient thermal management: A cast aluminum heat sink is directly integrated with the housing to maintain LED junction temperatures below specified limits.

·         A dimmable LED driver that offers 0-10 volt dimming and accommodates inputs of 120, 277, and 347 volts.

·         4-, 6-, and 8-inch housing sizes for new construction, remodels or retrofit applications, featuring multiple downlight or wall-wash beam patterns.

·         Extensive trim options in hyperbolic or parabolic: Available in six lustrous trim colors and specular, semispecular or satin finishes.

·         2700K, 3000K, 3500K, and 4100K color temperatures, 80 CRI minimum.

·         Several product combinations are ENERGY STAR qualified for commercial downlight installations.

The Indy Performance Series LED Downlights are currently available through Juno Lighting Group distributors. For more information about the Indy Performance Series LED Downlights, please visit http://www.junolightinggroup.com/splash_indy_performance_led.asp.
