ControlByNet (CBN), a leader in cloud-based, hosted video security surveillance solution, announced today continued gains in the metal recycling industry with the recent addition of Stealth Alloys, a full service metal recycling facility located just outside of Atlanta, as an i-flashback CLOUD service customer. As with any property that maintains even a brief inventory of valuable metals, the company has to deal with intruders as well as monitor employees. Ken Sisler, a partner at Stealth notes, “ControlByNet’s managed services allow us to focus on the business and not on the surveillance solution. They keep everything running smooth and notify us when something is offline”.In addition, the use of CBN’s CLOUD service allows a duplicate video stream to be recorded offsite for safety should something happen at the business. “The benefit of our software is that while developed as a fully hosted solution it can also tie into a managed server onsite as needed for higher resolution video. The customer doesn’t see a difference, he or she just logs in and it all looks like a single system regardless of where the recorded video data is actually stored, “explains Ryan Strange, CEO of ControlByNet.Similar to other CBN customers in the recycling industry, the solution at Stealth ties remotely into CBN’s ip-LookOUT where it is monitored by security personnel for intruders. “It’s actually a pretty neat transition from onsite software to Cloud, or remote, video and out to a guard solution….that’s how software on the Internet should be used,” Added Strange.CBN’s i-flashback CLOUD solution is one of the only hosted video solutions on the market that is not a branded Axis AVHS solution. While CBN works with Axis on testing of its one-click feature and primarily uses Axis cameras for hosting, the CBN architecture is built to support cameras from other manufacturers including Panasonic, Bosch and Vivotek, as well as others.About ControlByNet (http://www.controlbynet.com)ControlByNet provides the most advanced adaptable hosted and managed IP-based surveillance solution on the market. ControlByNet's advanced software is the cornerstone for the new security surveillance business model. By leveraging Software as a Service (SaaS), CBN's solution integrates seamlessly across its products creating limitless installation scenarios. The hierarchical nature of the software allows a single log-in with multiple levels of access from any (Internet) location which leverages existing enterprise resources. While the i-flashback interface is as simple to use as a nanny cam, both versions of the software are sophisticated enough to manage hundreds of remote cameras from a single browser including Internet Explorer, Firefox and Chrome as well as mobile devices such as the Droid, iPhone or iPad.
