In 1957, the two J&J Industries founders, Tom Jones and Rollins Jolly, started a commercial carpet company that revolved around its people. Jones said, “We are in the people business, we just happen to make carpet.”
That guiding ethic continues today as we strive to positively impact our associates, customers and community on a daily basis. By putting our people first we are able to produce a product with pride, provide a valuable product to our customers and make a difference in our community.
Our commitment to our associates and their families, as well as our larger community requires that we provide gainful employment and economic development.
In 1994 J&J Industries purchased Invision Carpet Systems, providing the company a carpet line that went beyond its current J&J Commercial styles by pushing the boundaries in texture, color and original design. This gave J&J Industries a well-rounded offering of commercial contract products and allowed for increased capabilities for our customers. Almost ten years later J&J Commercial and Invision Carpet Systems, two of the industry's most specified carpet brands, combined sales teams to become J+J/Invision - a single source solution in the commercial carpet industry.
In 2010, J&J Industries purchased Templeton Hospitality Carpet located in Dalton, Georgia. Templeton, established in 1974, manufactures and supplies carpet to the hospitality market segment. The acquisition of Templeton Hospitality significantly expanded the resources of J&J Industries to offer the many manufacturing amenities, including fiber extrusion, yarn processing, broadloom and modular finishing. Such resources make J&J/Templeton one of the few hospitality brands vertically integrated with full manufacturing and quality control.
As an independent, family-owned business for three generations, each of our brands signifies that we engineer our broadloom and tile offerings with a steadfast commitment to design, quality, service, integrity and sustainability.
Our sales associates work proactively to reduce the time and complexity of the bid process, reduce the need for value engineering and provide designers and end-users with good products for great projects.
