Using Color to Brand the Interior of Your Organization
time 1:01
RELATED CONTENT:
Organizations usually try and portray a certain image, often called a brand. This image could be comprised from the organization's culture, values, goals or services rendered. Usually, it is reflected visually in the organization’s logo.
To reflect an organization's brand in a facility, a good point to start from is the logo. Using the predominant color or colors from the logo on some of the walls in the space will automatically help occupants and visitors associate the recognizable logo with the culture of the facility.
Be careful about using colors at the same level of saturation that appears in the logo, however. An entire wall of lime green may be too harsh, for example. Instead, be sure to dilute the color in some way to reduce the intensity. That will make the color more livable while still carrying the brand throughout the facility.
