Common deficiencies found during the lighting control commissioning process include the following:
- Improperly set light levels
- Incorrect sensor type installed (passive infrared or ultrasonic occupancy sensor)
- Controller sensitivity and time settings not programmed properly
- Improper placement of sensor view areas, resulting in either sensor turning on prematurely or not at all (common in warehouse and stock aisle applications)
- Calibration of daylight sensor systems
- Calibration and controllability of automatic shade systems
- Programming of atomic clock settings for outdoor lighting.
