Free Webcasts Deliver Timely Information
By BOM Editorial Staff - November 2007 - MS
Facility executives have an important new source of information: a new series of Webcasts featuring top experts addressing a wide range of industry topics. New Webcasts will appear every other month. All Webcasts in the series, presented by Building Operating Management, are free.
“Building Operating Management is excited to bring the same high quality content attendees expect at our live conference to a broader audience through the Web,” says Wendy Loerch, director of education. “With the help of sponsors we are able to bring industry experts to our readers’ computers.”
The first free Webcast, “Data Center Optimization,” was a success, says Loerch. “Attendees appreciated the quality content and the ability to ask the presenter questions. And they appreciated that it was free.”
The second free Webcast will take place Nov. 15 at 1:00 p.m. EST with presenter David Fisher from PolarSoft. Attendees will learn how BACnet-based interoperability can create opportunities to increase energy efficiency and reduce operations and maintenance costs for an organization. Attendees will also come away with a greater understanding of BACnet, commissioning and best practices to implement it effectively.
A Webcast on green cleaning is slated for the end of January 2008. Attendees will learn what green cleaning is and how best to implement a green cleaning program.
Facility executives can register for the Webcasts. Each Webcast runs 75 minutes, including time for questions and answers with the presenter.
After the Webcasts have been completed, facility executives can view past Webcasts for free. Each Webcast will be archived on FacilitiesNet so facility executives can log-in and view an archived Webcast at any time.
