Wor-Wic Community College is accepting applications for a director of facilities management to manage the college’s facilities functions, including maintenance, housekeeping, grounds, parking, mail/receiving, occupational safety and energy management.
Duties include establishing and maintaining routine and preventative maintenance programs; overseeing capital projects, facilities work projects, emergency situations and routine building maintenance improvements; and administrative duties including budgeting, requisitioning, reporting, policy review/revision, technical writing and communicating information to management.
Requirements include a bachelor’s degree and at least five years of experience in a leadership role, including three years of supervisory experience. Experience creating and managing departmental and project budgets, setting workload priorities, planning projects, negotiating with contractors and vendors, and writing technical policies and procedures is required. The successful candidate must be able to read blueprints, utilize Microsoft Office (specifically Word and Excel), and possess strong organizational, analytical, customer service, and written and verbal communication skills.
Preference will be given to candidates with experience in construction management and/or managing facility functions for a campus or multiple buildings, utilizing an electronic maintenance work order management system, and with computer aided drafting (CAD).
The starting salary for this position is competitive, depending upon qualifications and experience.
