HVAC Inspection and Maintenance Standard Open for Comment

By CleanLink Editorial Staff - April 2007 - HVAC

A proposed standard that sets minimum inspection and maintenance requirements for HVAC systems is open for public comment. The standard, ASHRAE/ACCA Standard 180P, Standard Practice for Inspection and Maintenance of Commercial Building HVAC Systems, would establish requirements to help ensure a system's ability to achieve acceptable thermal comfort, energy efficiency and indoor air quality.

The American Society of Heating, Refrigerating and Air-Conditioning Engineers (ASHRAE) and the Air Conditioning Contractors of America (ACCA) developed the standard, which is open for public review until April 30. To read it, visit www.ashrae.org/publicreviews .
