New Emergency Egress Safety Standards - Is Your Building Compliant?
This year, three of the most widely accepted safety codes were revised to include more stringent requirements for emergency egress safety markings.
The International Building and Fire Codes, and the National Fire Protection Association's 101 Life Safety Code now require all buildings approximately five stories or higher to have luminous egress path markings on the full length of every step and handrail in a stairwell. All perimeter demarcations, floor landings, doorways and obstacles in the egress path must be marked as well.
Will your building pass the test of these new egress safety standards?
To help you bring your building up to code, Brady created several tools that walk you through the new egress provisions. With over 90 years of experience with safety markings and equipment, Brady understands your needs for quality, durability, and easy installation - and we're here to help.
