testo Saveris™ - Wireless Temperature and Humidity Monitoring of Building and Storage Indoor Climates

The testo Saveris™ wireless monitoring system continuously measures, records, and displays indoor temperature and humidity, accurately and reliably. This advanced system automatically issues alarms via e-mail, relay, or audible/visual alerts whenever user-defined limit values are exceeded. You always know the environmental control status for every area in your facility. All three major Saveris™ components... Base Unit, remote probes, and software... are easily user-installed.

testo Saveris™ is ideal for:

  • Recording temperature and humidity data in facility and storage environments
  • Continuous monitoring of climate to assist in facility maintenance planning
  • Ensuring critical ambient conditions are maintained in buildings such as hospitals, sanitary production areas, controlled environment storage, and data centers
  • Research and development laboratories in both industry and universities

Testo Marketing Manager for Industrial and Food Products Robert Bové describes the value of the system in storage and facilities maintenance; "Testo Saveris™ offers an extensive range of wireless and Ethernet probes making it a truly flexible temperature and humidity monitoring solution for a wide range of applications. You can quickly set up a system for building baseline measurements or longer-term data collection to assist in programs such as energy consumption prediction. The Saveris™ software stores data securely, providing traceability of important environmental data."

testo Saveris™ Base Unit... the "heart" of the system

The heart of the testo Saveris™ system is the Base Unit, storing up to 40,000 readings per measurement channel, the equivalent to approx. one year of memory capacity at a sampling rate of 15 minutes. Unlike other monitoring systems, a PC is not required since the Base Unit has the ability to record and document all measurements. In the event of a power failure an emergency back-up battery ensures an alarm is transmitted and data is secure. System data and alarms are easily viewed in the Saveris™ Base Unit display and its large red alarm LED. The Base Unit manages all alarms issued by e-mail or relay. An optional Alarm Module (visual and audible) can also be connected to the Base Unit for remote alerts.

Each Saveris™ Base Unit can accomodate a maximum of 254 measurement channels, or up to 150 single channel probes in up to four combinations:

  • 15 maximum wireless probes connected to the Base Unit
  • 15 maximum wireless routers, each accepting a maximum of 5 wireless probes (total 75 wireless probes)
  • 10 converters (wireless to Ethernet) each accepting a maximum of 15 wireless probes (total of 150 wireless probes)
  • 150 maximum Ethernet probes connected via Ethernet to the Base Unit

The Base Unit is connected to a PC either via USB or Ethernet cable.

Saveris™ Wireless Probes (battery powered)

All Saveris™ Wireless probes automatically communicate with the Base Unit while they measure and record temperature and humidity. Data is transmitted back to the Base Unit at regular intervals. Probes (with or without optional display) are available with internal and external temperature and humidity sensors and can be easily adapted to any facility configuration. A wide selection of external temperature and humidity probes allows wireless probes to help monitor even confined or inaccessible areas. The optional display shows current measurement data, battery status, communication connection and signal strength, allowing the user to both install and optimize any Saveris™ system quickly and easily.

Wireless transmission path length without a router is approx. 330 ft (100 m) at a frequency of 2.4 GHz. The Saveris™ system has been FCC approved for the USA and IC approved for Canada as a low power transmission device.

Saveris™ Ethernet Probes... use your LAN

Ethernet probes are also available for longer distances from the probe to the Saveris™ Base Unit using an existing LAN infrastructure. Since Ethernet probes are AC powered, they can be used continuously. Even in the event of a power outage or loss of a LAN connection, all collected data is protected in the probe's non volatile memory. All Saveris™ Ethernet probes include a display and show current measurement data as well as probe status and communication strength.

Saveris™ Router extends your reach

In many facilities, transmissions can be affected by building structures, walls, equipment, or metal doors. The Saveris™ Router can be used to improve transmission while positioning the wireless probe for optimum signal strength.

Saveris™ Converter... wireless or Ethernet, it's your choice

With the connection of a Saveris™ Converter to an Ethernet jack, the signal of a wireless probe can be converted into an Ethernet signal. This allows the use of wireless probes with an existing Ethernet system, especially over long distances.

Saveris™ Software... your "dashboard" for the System

All measurement data is transmitted from the Base Unit to a connected PC running testo Saveris™ software. This same software also enables initial system and probe configuration. Two versions are available:

In the Saveris™ Small Business Edition (SBE) software, all measurements are saved in the software's database and can be called up any time as a table or graph. All alarms are listed in a handy memory table. The automatic creation of PDF reports in user-defined intervals also simplifies documentation. With the included calendar function and probe "virtual" grouping function, software operation is simple and intuitive. The user can choose their alarm notification preference: audible/visual, pop-up display, E-mail, or relay.

The Saveris™ advanced Professional (PROF) software includes all SBE features, plus constant monitoring in PC continuous operation, integration of measurement data onto a background photo of your facility or storage area, and integration into a network (client-server), for remote monitoring from any internet-connected PC, anywhere in the world using Saveris™ Web Access Software.
