On-site Energy Assessment

We send an energy engineer to your facility to conduct an on-site energy assessment, a comprehensive audit of your facility and its energy use. We cover most of the cost of your on-site energy assessment, which gives you the more detailed cost and payback information you need before starting your efficiency upgrades.

Valued at more than $1,500, you pay just $200 for buildings less than 25,000 square feet, and $300 for buildings 25,000 to 150,000 square feet. Our on-site energy assessment provides:

• An on-site assessment and written report.
• A list of electric and natural gas energy conservation opportunities and how quickly each improvement might pay for itself in energy savings. Examples include lighting, heating, cooling, refrigeration systems, as well as motor and compressed air use.
• Information and estimated amounts of applicable Xcel Energy rebates.
• Estimated equipment inventories.
• An energy end-use profile that shows your greatest energy uses.
• The ability to pay for your study right on your monthly energy bill.

Energy Advisory Services — New for 2010

Take those recommendations to the next level and start realizing savings today. The Energy Advisory Services program includes:

• Defining the scope and specific actions of the project.
• Presenting the project internally to gain approval, if needed.
• Consulting on contractors, equipment and installer bids.
• Participating in two on-site meetings at the customer’s facility.
• Participating in follow-up phone calls, as needed.

The charge is minimal—only $50 for the initial Energy Advisor consultation and an additional $35 for each energy conservation opportunity that is selected.
